What a beautiful morning in San Martin!
Harvey Bear Park in San Martin is the perfect place for a morning (or any time of the day) walk. Three time a week (well, mostly) Nadien, Mario and I meet for a morning walk around the two mile loop. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have Debbie and Owen join us. Sometimes we run into people we know. But mostly we get to take in the very crisp morning air, see the baby calves eating grass, wish a good morning to those passing by, sip our Starbucks, and maybe break a little sweat, or glow, as I like to call it.

This morning was business as usual EXCEPT for one major distraction. The "workers" were there to fix the road. Thank GOD! The road is horrible, it has HUGE potholes and cannot be good for anyone's car. Mario was excited to see all the tractors in action, made it through the whole walk without falling asleep.
When the alarm goes off at 7:20AM (yes, I know for some of you this is sleeping in) I grunt at the clock as I roll out of bed and think, maybe Nadien doesn't REALLY want to walk today. But once I get to San Martin and we start walking, it is really the BEST start to my day!
P.S. Embrace the double chin...lol
Funny! Vic was just talking about this place yesterday, he has been walking it a couple of times a week. He was telling me that Dylan would love it because of all the animals. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in MH.
ReplyDeleteI knew you guys walked but had no idea where - I had never heard of this place! I might have to drag Rob with me to check it out!
