Our little baby Wyatt is having a rough couple of days. Saturday night he starting throwing up non-stop. Keith woke me up at 10AM Sunday morning to see if I thought we should take him to the ER. When I looked out the window to see him, I asked Keith if he was breathing, he was laying sprawled out in the dirt and did not look good.
We took him to the ER where they placed him on an IV and starting giving him fluids and meds. He spent the night, but we had to pick him up in the AM because the ER closes (don't ask). We had to transfer Wyatt to his regular vet in Morgan Hill.
Today he spent the whole day at the Vet's office, and still no diagnosis. Wyatt needs 24 hour observation and the no one spends the night with the animals at the Vet's office- SO...we had to decide if we wanted to take him back to the ER for the night or bring him home and watch him ourselves. Well, $2000.00 later we decided we would watch him ourselves.
The doctor filled him with fluids and meds for the night, so it would last him until the morning. (It looks like he has a Double D breast implant on his back, full of fluid -it is kind of gross) She said if he starts to deteriorate we should take him to the ER right away. I ask her what the signs of deterioration are and her response is:
1. If he starts throwing up non-stop
2. If he looks like he is going to die.
WTH really? He has looked like is going to die for the last 2 days...(deep breaths)
So, tonight we are on Wyatt watch... And, to put the icing on the cake his physco mom is taking pictures of him. (I know, I am a jerk- but they are so cute)
Oh no! I hope he is ok. He's such a sweet dog. :(
