Sunday night 9PM. Keith and I headed to the new pizza place (Blue Mountain) in downtown Campbell to have our last meal as non parents. You would think this would be a relaxing, enjoyable time. We were suppose to check into the hospital at 9:45PM for my induction. So instead we were rushed and nervous and inhaling pizza so that we would not be late. We were late.
We arrived at the hospital late, but everyone was really nice and no one was too concerned that we did not make our 9:45PM appearance. We settled in for what we thought would be a non eventful night of resting and waiting. Boy were we WRONG!
The induction started with Cervidil and we got ready for bed.
Holy 4AM contractions. NOT Bueno. I thought I was dying and the nurse was SO excited and said I was starting labor. (This nurse was AWESOME! I loved her...although at the moment, I wanted to kill her).
Drugs please.

The last 10 hours had been filled with breathing, back rubs, prayers, yelling, hand holding, throwing up, rocking, ice eating, music playing, & hula dancing, - and NONE of it I could have done without my TEAM IVY!

Welcome to the world Ivy Marie Beier
7lb 11oz
21 Inches
It is hard to remember the feelings I felt when I saw her pink screaming little face. I wanted to hold her and make it all better, I wanted her to know that it was me...her mom...and that I was her people. But I also was a little scared.
There was so much going on after she was born, I just knew once I held her and we had some cuddling time, everything was going to be OK. And it was.
I love this little baby so much it hurts my insides. I could stare at her for hours and kiss her little checks all day. She is perfect! PERFECT!
(And that was only day 1)
That's a very sweet post.
