I have never been a big fan of pudding. But, a couple of months ago I decided to make some instant cream cheese pudding. I had some cookies and rasberies and thought this would make a scrumptious dessert. I was wrong. I really think instant pudding is gross!
So, the other day Melissa asked me if I remembered Pudding Pops. DO I REMEMBER PUDDING POPS? UM...YES they are sooo Yummy! So I was thinking about why I hate instant pudding but love pudding pops.
I got a wild hair and decided that I would make cook and serve pudding. Warm, creamy chocolate fudge pudding is as delicious as a pudding pop. So, my next project, is to freeze it and try to make pudding pops. I AM BRINGING BACK THE PUDDIN'!
Note to all: Cook and Serve Pudding NOT Instant Pudding

That's it?? I thought you were going to do it last night? I might try it tonight, I gotta go to the store today so I'll pick up some pudding, I already got the holder things.
ReplyDeleteDoug doesn't think they will be the same. He fondly remembers the "icy coating" on the pudding pop and doesn't think you can recreate that. Oh, memories of the good ol' pudding pop.....
Safeway did not have the freezer forms, so I could not make them last night. I have to buy some forms this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Doug, the icy coating is one of the best parts. I will keep my fingers crossed.
OMG, I LOVE pudding pops! Why in the world don't they sell those anymore??? You made me want some so badly just now...let me know how your experiment goes! Should we write to JELLO and tell them to bring it back? Ha Ha!
ReplyDeletei hadn't thought about the icy coating in forever! I totally remember coming in on a hot day and trying to get just the icy coating off before digging into the chocoloate. Fantastic!
