20,910 and counting.

Hiking craze.
Thursday, Debbie and I ventured out to our regular walking spot at Harvey Bear.  However, instead of doing our normal 2 mile walk around the pasture, Debbie decided we needed a challenge. We hiked up the hill and made it to the top! When we got to the top there were two serial killers (according to Debbie) eating sunflower seeds.  She was certain that if there were not two us, one of us would have been killed.  I assured her serial killers do not eat sunflowers seeds - too messy. There was also a beautiful view of the lake and a sun shiny day. Do we go back the way we came or head down the hill on a new path?
You guessed it, we took the path less traveled. We thought we would never get to the bottom. We encountered a few more hills, some cows, and had to excuse our selves around them as they crossed the trail, and a lot of cow dung, such a wonderful aroma.  At one point Debbie suggested we lay in an X formation and someone might come rescue us - no such luck.  We made our way to the bottom, just in time for me to make a MAD dash to the porta potty. (It was almost Monster Truck #2)
We ended up doing about 6 miles- and had a fun time doing it!

Saturday, I hiked 10.5 miles up the PG&E trail at Rancho San Antonio.  This was quite the acomplishment for me.  My goal was to make it to the top by this summer - so I did it!  I will not mention the 3 times I almost quit and was passed by 70 year olds (not even breathing hard).  But the important thing is I made to the top and am alive to tell about it. When we got to the bottom our pedometer said 20,910 steps!

So, looks like all my adventures paid off this week.  Weigh in 255.8. (Down 1 lb)

Tipping the scales

Good news on the Fat Front...the scales have tipped in my favor. (It is about time!)  Although I took the weekend off from working out, I have been busting my butt otherwise.  The food I ate could have been better - but it is a work in  progress. I am still a little behind my goal of 245 by Memorial Day, (1.4lb weight loss a week) but I WILL catch up.

This weeks weigh in...256.8! Down 2.2 - Yay for me!!!

Deep Breaths

Tuesday's weight 259. So at least I am down, if only .6.  My blood, sweat and tears are barley noticeable on the scale. I have high hopes for next week.

Little Shitter

That sweet little face has the sweetest little butt that shit on me. I lifted the cutest little naked body out of the tub only to get a special surprise, a little yellow poo on his towel and my sweater.
"He just shit everywhere!" I said to Nadien.
"shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit..." repeats Zinho over nad over.
Nadien gives me a look, I say sorry.
I stick him back in the tub and then ask Nadien for a new towel for the "Little Shitter".
Again the word "shit". I think I am officially banned from the house.
I wrap him in a towel and head to his  room. I open the towel only to find ANOTHER POO!
Jeez.
I am not sure I have ever diapered a child so fast.

Weigh In.

It was a horrible weekend, of not working out and eating like there is no tomorrow. So today is weigh in. I worked out in the morning yesterday and meant to work out in the evening, just o the scale would not be up, but that did not happen.  I know that is not how it works but I do like when the number is lower!

So....259.6 CRAP

I typed in "fat girl" to search google images.  Oh my, I do not recommend it. There were some pretty, let's say, interesting photos.  These were two of my favorites. The second it titled "sexy fat girl", I am pretty sure that is me!

Today is a good day!

I love the rain!

This morning I went for a 5 mile walk in the pouring rain.  It was awesome.

I got to my neighbor/friend's house Gabrielle at about 7.  We weighed ourselves and then pondered as to whether we should venture out for walk. I convinced her that it was just misty outside so we left.  About a mile in, it started to rain a little harder, at about mile 2 it started to pour.  At first we were annoyed with the drops pelting our eyes and lips, but then we were so wet that there was nothing else to do but laugh.

About a block away from our houses, I decided we should jump in some puddles. At, first Gabrielle was not too sure about this idea, but after explaining that we could not get any more wet she joined the fun.  We stomped in every puddle we passed.  I'm sure this was a sight to see - I wish I had a camera.

Puddle stomping IS the BEST way to start your day! Go out - DO IT now!

P.S. As some of you may have noticed, I have not been posting my weight.  I had a few set backs, Christmas, New Years, January, Valentines, Girl Scout Cookies, Popcorn w/ Milk Duds, but I am back on track.  Bad news: I gained 10 pounds.  Good news: I lost 2 of them.  Today's weight 258.8. (Goal: 245 by Memorial Day)
